Bio

I am LaJuanda Williams-Griffin,  the middle child of three girls. We were reared by our single mom in Vicksburg, MS where I attended the Vicksburg-Warren School District and graduated from Warren Central High School. At the age of 18, I joined the United States Army Reserves as a human resources specialist. That experience taught me how to persevere, be truly disciplined, and work toward a specific mission. I learned there was humiliation in quitting and pride in enduring and succeeding. During my military career, I earned a B.S. degree in Mass Communications from Jackson State University. In 2008,  I earned a Masters of Public Health degree. I had plans of becoming the next top ranked news anchor until my graduate school professor redirected my professional goal.  “You have impeccable critical thinking skills that would significantly benefit people who need legal advice,” he said. So, in 2012 I graduated from the Mississippi College School of Law.

When I began practicing law my primary focus was family law and other domestic matters. That changed in 2014 when I received an opportunity to clerk for two of the most senior chancellors in the state of Mississippi. I gained crucial experience in not only all family and domestic matters, but also all matters of equity, such as banking and finance, housing, wills and estates, land acquisitions, business formation and dissolutions, and administrative appeals. In addition to being an attorney, I am the proud mother of the most divine and beautiful children I could ask for. Twelve-year-old Honor, 7-year-old Wisdom, and 4-year-old Micah are my motivation for fighting to protect the interests of other families.
